A room with JeanNouvel Design pieces
ARANA – LAMP – TROLL TH
This is a family light, everyone can be together with their own light, as per the description, A completely ” free” system allowing everyone to their own creativity”. The light branches from a centre point to any desired spot in the room, at any height.
TRIPTYQUES- MODEL B – GAGOSIAN GALLERY & GALERIE PATRICK SEGUIN- UNIQUE PIECES
The Triptyques mirror is adjustable to the mood or needs of the person in the room. It reflects only as much as is needed and allows different depths from all angles.
The colours are dense, contrasting, warm: gold, orange, deep reds, some so dark they are “almost” black. The three mirrors in every part have a different colour, which reflects into each other, either blending or cancelling each other.
It’s no doubt a discussion piece.
“I want coloured mirrors; they are the key to this story. Some are fixed, others shift, others are angled…sometimes two or three models are in different scales, their meaning is established by the interior”
MILANA – LOW CHAIR – SAWAYA & MORONI
Low armless lounge chair consisting of saddle leather webbing in black or natural colours. This chair was a project for Knoll Frame and designed in flat iron shape in brushed stainless steel.
KNP- SOFA – ARFLEX
Hard modern and simple frame, with a soft comfortable cover that can be personalised to your our needs as your own ‘nest’, it just screams out for you to sit in it, curl up, snuggle in, relax. It’s fun and laid-back.
K.N.P.’s recipe updates the basic techniques used in the Arflex ateliers: plywood frame, foam pads of different thicknesses for comfort, throws with loose reversible covers-two-tone quilts hard-wearing but soft that can be zipped together.
MASS- ARMCHAIR – MOROSO
Mass lounge chairs were specially designed for the reception area of the advertising agency, on the banks of the Seine.
They are solid, bulky and grand made of stitched webbed leather, making it look like a boxing glove. The Mass is coupled with modular ottoman.
1 = 2- TABLE – ZERITALIA
The 2=1 range is based on a system of two stacking tables which automatically level when placed side by side. They can also serve separate consoles.
Initially developed by Zeritalia, 1=2 and 2=1 have now been reissued by Cassina.
Its diversity can serve either the office or the home.
Different materials and colours are available. The stainless steel feet are fixed by optical bonding to the 12mm-toughened glass top. I love the idea of castors in every piece of furniture, especially like these ones with unidirectional for an easy and rapid movement.
The automatic levelling of the table tops placed side by side is the object of a patented system.
QUADRICROMIA-ACOUSTIC TEXTILE SURFACE – DANESE
Quadricromia is an original system of adjustable surface elements. High-quality double-sided surface layer with a densely woven Tihaud rag fabric is joined with a layer of felt, it suits Danese’s design philosophy.
Quadricromia is a surface which can be used as a room divider or as wall panelling, changing the feel of the space.
GRADUATE- SHELVES – MOLTENI
This suspended system of shelves is a light piece of furniture to enhance its objects display. Using an invisible device inside the graduated stainless steel uprights, the shelves are easily adjusted to different heights. The shelves consist of fine veneer slats with the underside and top surfaces covered in brushed aluminium. This system can be arranged in multiple configurations and spaces of a 1-meter linear module.
I-DO- SWIVELLING STORAGE – ROCHE BOBOIS
A column that stands alone and creates a stand in an abstract manner and has rotating functions, it’s elegant and has a significant presence.
SAISI- MUG – DESIGNER BOX
“What is often most important to me is to characterise objects and find them a particular essence which is in direct relation to their purpose.
The best way to grasp this subject is to grasp the glass itself and finally give a certain sense to the fact of holding it!
This mug is the rendering of an imprint, of a design which allows one to hold it well, even if it is wet, even if the coffee overflows.”
